Identify Nearby Water Sources

Consider the location of the pesticide application in relation to ground- and surface-water. Keep pesticides away from water sources. Avoid handling, loading, and mixing at or near surface waters, shallow aquifers, or a well site. Consult your Cooperative Extension Service or the Soil Conservation Service to determine the depth to groundwater in your area.
