Section 408(p): Regulatory Action

If EPA finds a substance to have an endocrine effect on humans as a result of the screening program, the Agency must take action under its existing statutory authority "as is necessary to ensure the protection of public health." EPA must report its findings from the screening program to Congress within four years and make any recommendations for further testing and actions.
