Section 408(q): Schedule for Review I

Existing tolerances must be reviewed within ten years

  • EPA must review all existing tolerances and exemptions in effect on August 3, 1996 as expeditiously as possible under the new safety criteria. Within three years, 33 percent of the tolerances and exemptions must be reviewed. 66 percent must be reviewed within six years, and the review process must be completed within 10 years.
