FQPA requires USDA to ensure support for minor use pesticides by:

  • coordinating IR-4 and the national pesticide resistance monitoring program,

  • supporting IPM research,

  • consulting with growers to develop data for minor uses, and

  • providing assistance for minor use registrations, tolerances and registrations with the EPA with respect to the Department's responsibilities related to minor use pesticides.
