Definition of "minor use pesticide" II

The Administrator, in consultation with the Secretary of Agriculture, determines that the use does not provide sufficient economic incentive to support the active ingredient's initial registration or continuing the registration for the minor use AND:

  • There are insufficient efficacious alternatives for the use; OR

    •

  • The alternatives post greater risk; OR

    •

  • The minor use is significant in managing pest resistance; OR

    •

  • The minor use plays a significant part in integrated pest management.

    •
