PMEP Home Page --> Pesticide Use Information for New York State --> NAPIAP Survey - Carrots - 1996 --> Agricultural Practices by Carrot Growers

Agricultural Practices

Growers were asked to provide a snapshot of the agricultural practices they used on their carrot acreage. Questions were not predefined. The intent was to get an idea of some of the non-pesticide related agricultural practices carrot producers were using. We asked growers to indicate their tillage practices, fertilizer programs, row spacing and seeding rate, varieties and sources of their seed, seed treatments, and irrigation practices.
