Proposed FIFRA 2(ee) Recommendation

Researcher and Title: George W. Hudler, Associate Professor

Pesticide Name and EPA Registration No.:
              chlorothalonil (Bravo 720) 50534-188

Target Crop:
              Spruce (Picea sp.

Proposed Application Rate:
              2 - 3 1/2 pts formulated product per acre.

Nature of 2(ee) variation from product label:

The current label is for control of two other diseases of spruce -
Sirococcus tip blight and Rhizosphaera needlecast.
The 2(ee) variation adds a new pest to the label, with recommended rates
similar to those for Sirococcus tip blight.

Complete recommendation as it will appear in Cornell Recommends:
For control of Weir's cushion (needle) rust, apply chlorothalonil (Bravo
720, mixed 2 -3 1/2 pts/100 gallons, (depending on severity of disease) to
individual trees, beginning when 10% of buds have broken and twice thereafter
at 7-10 day intervals. Application should not exceed 100 gallons (= 2 - 3 1/2
pts formulated product) per acre.
