Dear Mr. Smith,
Re: FIFRA 2(ee) Recommendation for the Use of Junction (EPA Reg. No. 1812-360) to Control Moss on
The Department of Environmental Conservation (The Department) has approved your FIFRA 2(ee)
recommendation to add the target pest mosses (Bryum argenteum) for the above listed product on turf. The registered New
York State label for Junction does not include moss.
The use of Junctions for the control of mosses has been supported by data from Dr. Frank Rossi, Assistant
Professor of Horticulture at Cornell University. The use rate and timing of application shall comply with the currently
registered product labeling. Anyone treating turf for control of mosses with Junction Fungicide must have the
recommendation in their possession at the time of application.
Enclosed is the stamped "accepted" copy of the recommendation as it is to appear in the Cornell
Recommends. If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Paula McBath of my staff at (518) 402-8768.
