Dear Ms. Aschbrenner:
Re: Registration of Special Local Need Labeling for Sencor DF 75% Dry Flowable Herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 264-738)
The Department has reviewed your application, received March 26, 2004, to register Special Local Need (SLN) labeling for Sencor DF 75% Dry Flowable Herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 264-738) for use on peas in New York State.
The SLN labeling specifies one postemergence application per season for the suppression of certain broadleaf weeds in peas. Sencor DF is to be applied as a broadcast spray with ground equipment at a rate of two to two and two-thirds ounce (2 to 2 2/3 oz.) per acre. The product is assigned the registration number SLN No. NY-040001.
Sencor DF 75% Dry Flowable Herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 3125-325) has been transferred from Bayer Corporation, Agriculture Division to Bayer CropScience, LP and has been assigned the new EPA Reg. No. 264-738. This new SLN registration, EPA SLN No. NY-040001, is for Bayer CropScience's Sencor DF 75% Dry Flowable Herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 264-738) and is identical to EPA SLN No. NY-010003 for Bayer Corporation, Agriculture Division's Sencor DF 75% Dry Flowable Herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 3125-325).
Therefore, under the authority of Section 24(c) of FIFRA, the Department hereby
grants a Special Local Need registration for Sencor DF 75% Dry Flowable Herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 264-738).
The SLN allows use on peas only. All precautionary statements, applicable use directions, use precautions and limitations of the labeling affixed to the Sencor DF 75% Dry Flowable Herbicide (EPA Reg. No. 264-738) container must be followed.
The Certificate of Pesticide Registration and a copy of the New York State stamped "ACCEPTED" SLN labeling for Sencor DF 75% Dry Flowable Herbicide are enclosed for your records.
Please be reminded that a copy of the accepted SLN label must be distributed with all product distributed in New York State and be in the possession of the user at the time of pesticide application.
Please contact Ms. Jeanine Broughel, of my staff, at (518) 402-8768, if you have any questions.
