Dear Dr. Abbott:
Re: FIFRA 2(ee) Recommendation for Warrior with Zeon Technology (EPA Reg. No. 100-1112) to Control Potato Leaf Hopper on Alfalfa
FIFRA 2(ee) Recommendation for Warrior T (EPA Reg. No. 10182-434) to Control Potato Leaf Hopper in Alfalfa
FIFRA 2(ee) Recommendation for Ambush Insecticide (EPA Reg. No. 10182-18) to Control European Corn Borer on Potato
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (Department) has approved your FIFRA 2(ee) recommendation to add the pest, Potato Leaf Hopper, on alfalfa using Warrior with Zeon Technology. All restrictions and limitations on each label must be carefully followed. The use rate and timing must be identical to the New York State registered labels. Careful attention must be paid to the Bee Hazard warning on the recommendation and label.
Anyone applying this product under this recommendation must have the recommendation in their possession at the time of application.
The old registration of Warrior T under the legacy company, Zeneca, registration number 10182-434, is currently in the "Discontinued" status and is registered in New York State to clear the channels of trade. Any 2(ee) recommendation still being distributed under the Zeneca label will be phased out on the same time line as the product.
The Department has received your request to cancel the FIFRA 2(ee) recommendation on Zeneca's Ambush Insecticide to control European Corn Borer on Potatoes and Cabbage. Our files only show a 2(ee) for potatoes, effective March 30, 1998. Therefore, the Department can only approve your request to cancel the recommendation on potatoes.
Enclosed is the stamped "accepted" copy of the recommendation to add the pest, Potato Leaf Hopper, on Alfalfa for Warrior with Zeon Technology (EPA Reg. No. 100-1112) as it is to appear in the Cornell Recommends. If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Robin Hackett, of my staff, at (518) 402-8768.
Sincerely,
Samuel J. Jackling
