dichlorvos The USEPA is postponing the effective date (formerly for
(DDVP) 3/10/94) for the order revoking the food additive tolerance for
residues of diclorvos on PACKAGED OR BAGGED NONPERISHABLE
PROCESSED FOOD because of a petition submitted by AMVAC Chemical
Corp. The notice of revocation for residues of this insecticide
was reported here on 11/19/93. The USEPA found that residues of
this pesticide were in violation of the Delaney Clause. The
USEPA is staying (postponing) the effective date of this order
until such time as they issue their response to AMVAC's stay
petition. Comments on the stay, with reference to OPP-300237B,
should be submitted to the OPP Docket of EPA by 3/28/94.
