Mevinphos - Notice of Intent to Suspend Registration 5/92

                                                             May 5, 1992

MEVINPHOS INSECTICIDE - Uses Retained

     In the April 15 , 1992 Federal Register (p . 13059 ), EPA announced the
Notice of Intent to Suspend registration of all products containing the
insecticide mevinphos.  Difficulties encountered by Amvac Chemical Corporation
in providing timely response to EPA were cited as the reasons.  Amvac has
since notified EPA and has committed to fulfill the requirements for continued
registration support of mevinphos, including most uses.  For further
